This time of year is always hard. Do you need a coat? Are bare legs still acceptable? When do I leave Spring/Summer trends in the past? Fear not, Vogue have written a fantastic article about what to keep a hold of and what to chuck. Below I've summarised the best bits for you.
Monogram Mania
Suckers for Shearling
Veteran model Freja Beha Erichsen showed journalists everywhere that shearling is here to stay this season with this dreamy Louis Vuitton coat. Whether you've still got yours from when Burberry showed those amazing aviator jackets a few winters ago, or whether you'll be buying for the first time, shearling a staple item you need this season.
Specs Appeal
Need glasses? Good. Gucci brought glasses back in a big way with their Resort 2016 presentation. These Elsa Peretti-esque frames were big hits with Vogue and it's easy to see why. The tortoiseshell frames are the perfect nod to autumn, with their glorious gold and brown tones.
Laters Leather
Forego Fringing
Folk and fringing may have dominated the Spring/Summer 2015 catwalks, but this season we're going 80s - think clubbing metallics and Dynasty silhouettes. The style decade that brought disco to every high street has returned. Unsure where to look, take J.W. Anderson's Autumn/Winter 2015 show as inspiration.
High-Waisted Heroes
The 70s flare may be extremely flattering, but it's time to, once again, bid them farewell. (Sorry Tom Ford) Instead, fashion editors at Vogue are favouring these high-waisted Marc Jacobs pants. Who doesn't like slightly oversized pieces that hide a multitude of sins?
