67th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Despite temperatures soaring to over 100 degrees, the stars pulled out some great looks at last night's Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. It also provided designers a chance to showcase their Spring/Summer 2016 designs on the red carpet for the first time. Enter Scandal's Kerry Washington who wore a silver Marc Jacobs dress that only hit the runway several days earlier at New York Fashion Week. Teamed with strappy sandals and just rings as jewellery, Kerry certainly kept her cool in the scorching heat.

Her on screen mother is usually one of my favourite when it comes to red carpet glamour, but unfortunately January Jones' fell short this year, with 15 year-old Kiernan Shipka taking the Mad Men style crown. Wearing Raf Simon's debut Haute Couture collection for Christian Dior and sky-high Christian Louboutin pumps, Kieran looked effortless and blew her cast mates out of the water.

Two of American Horror Story's biggest stars also pulled incredible red carpet looks out of the bag last night. Sarah Paulson looked drop-dead in a black and navy Prabal Gurung evening gown and slick backed hair, whilst Emma Roberts went ethereal in pale-peach Jenny Packham with mermaid-waves swept to one side.

Finally, and most surprisingly, another attendee that looked incredible was Lady Gaga. Wearing the relatively unknown Brandon Maxwell, Gaga looked demure, sophisticated and like a real Old-Hollywood vixen, with her Marilyn Monroe-esque platinum bob. The structure of the dress made it something truly special, and that crucial step up from being just another little black dress.
