Best Dressed: Emmy Awards 2012.

Sunday night saw the 2012 Emmy Awards take place in Los Angeles. Anyone who's anyone in American television was in attendance and this post is dedicated to those who upped their fashion stakes and really stood out for me:

1. Sophia Vergara
The Latino star of Modern Family wowed in Zuhair Murad. Although she managed to split the zip down her backside halfway through the event, the colour suited her skin tone perfectly and her wavy locks completed the look.

2. Tina Fey
30 Rock and Mean Girls star Fey looked classic and sophisticated in a red wine coloured Vivienne Westwood gown. The not-so-neat hair made for a great juxtaposition with the elegant dress. Top marks Tina, LOVE this look on you!

3. Padma Lakshmi
Neon coloured gowns were some what of a theme throughout the night, see Ginnifer Goodwin and Julianne Moore, but the best by far goes to Lakshmi. The orange Monique Lhuillier dress looked incredible against her skin tone and dark hair.

4. Claire Danes
This American actress picked up the gong for best actress in Homeland at the event. Another award she deserves is best dressed. Her chic, canary yellow Lanvin dress was simple but that simply made her look seem effortless. She complimented the dress with gold Lorraine Schwartz jewels and man-candy Hugh Dancy, who wore Burberry.
