66th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Last night, the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles, and the girls were out in force with looks from many a seasoned designer as well as some new fashion faces.

My favourite dress of the night was Allison Williams' Giambatista Valli Houte Couture gown. The shape was elegant and sophisticated, but the colour blocking detail kept the dress young and suited to her age.

The next look I loved was Kerry Washington's orange, layered Prada dress. She's certainly got her post-baby body in check, and the black sequin mini dress underneath the top layer certainly drew attention to that.

The third look that impressed me, was Kristen Wiig in Vera Wang. Sometimes the saying less is more is absolute rubbish, but here, it certainly is.

Cat Deeley looked super elegant in her Burberry Prorsum degrade gown. The colour complimented her hair and skin tone and her box clutch completed the look beautifully.

Although I usually skim over images of her, Heidi Klum looked stunning in her Zac Posen gown last night. The colour, like Cat Deeley's gown, complimented her skin perfectly perfectly.

American Horror Story's Taissa Farmiga (sister of Vera) really impressed me with a dress from a lesser known designer: Honor. The layering of the lace worked perfectly with the almost watercolour effect of the top part of the dress.

Finally it's one of my favourite actresses of all time: Julia Roberts. Looking sophisticated, but also youthful in Elie Saab, Julia really seemed to be enjoying her time on the red carpet... and who wouldn't? Everyone should want those pins in their 40s!
