Golden Globes 2014.

Last night, the 71st Annual Golden Globes took place in Los Angeles. Recognising excellence in film and television, the awards show always brings out some fashion hits and misses. A running theme throughout many of tonight's looks was monochrome (see below for my favourite looks). However, as well as shades of black, grey and white, military red made for a statement look on Emma Watson in Dior Couture and Lupita Nyongo in Ralph Lauren.

Back to black: Emma Roberts (left) wowed in a simple, Lanvin gown and turquoise jewellery, whilst Allison Williams stood out from the crowd in a striped, feathered, Alexander McQueen column dress.

Silver lining: Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery looked immaculate in an embroidered, Oscar De La Renta dress whilst a pregnant Kerry Washington wore a simple, pearlescent, Balenciaga gown and white Casadei shoes.

White magic: Laura Carmichael, also off Downton Abbey, looked incredible in her white and black, Viktor & Rolf gown and sleek hair-do. Although I'm not a fan of her onscreen character, she certainly looked the part last night.

Who else did everyone love and/or hate?
