Saint Slimane.

There was something 80s about Hedi Slimane's Spring/Summer 2014 collection for French fashion house Saint Laurent. As sequinned outfit after sequinned outfit marched down the runway, I started to see Debbie Harry (aka Blondie) and Ziggy Stardust as a key inspirations.

Slimane's position at Saint Laurent has been under scrutiny since he joined last season as many questioned whether his aesthetic was right for the prestigious, historical fashion house - however, I love his stuff!

Each sparkling mini-dress - perfect for approaching party season - was as exciting as the next. Slimane kept it interesting with different necklines, prints and silhouettes, which all fitted in seamlessly with staple Saint Laurent pieces: the tuxedo in 'Le Smoking' look.
